1) Set ceiling fans to spin clockwise to push heat down.
2) Repair malfunctioning window and door locks.
3) Check underside of roof in attic for stains / leaks.
4) Get fireplace chimney cleaned before first burn.
5) Replace worn weatherstripping around doors and windows to prevent drafts.
6) Turn off valves to exterior hose bibs & store hoses inside.
7) Insulate water pipes in areas exposed to freezing temperatures.
8) Rake leaves to keep grass healthy and stave off molds.
